Among my various passions, beekeeping stands out as the one I’m most passionate about. In recent years, I have developed educational and agritourism programs that introduce people to the vital world of bees. Through all my work, I strive to inspire current and future generations to blend tradition, innovation, and environmental stewardship for a sustainable future.

Varvara Kouneli | Agronomist AUA, MSc | Co-founder of “AGÀLE”
Driven by a deep love for nature, my work spans among beekeeping, growing plants and trees, exploring ecosystems and preserving traditional farming practices. I have dedicated my career studying the relationship between humans and the environment, drawing inspiration by visiting farms all over the world.
As a PhD candidate at the Agricultural University of Athens, I have participated in numerous research projects and worked as an internal consultant on food safety and quality. This blend of research and hands-on consulting has given me a broad understanding of the challenges in the agri-food sector.
At AGÀLE, I focus on promoting Greece’s agricultural heritage through experiential environmental education. Over the past three years, I have developed more than 30 educational programs, delivered more than 2000 hours of training for both children and adults mainly focused on beekeeping but also on topics such as Greek products, sustainable agriculture, and environmental preservation. Additionally, I designed agritourism activities to help visitors experience Greece’s rich agricultural traditions and unique products, firsthand.
