Cycladic biodiversity with Varvara Kouneli

Together with agronomist and Eudaimonia Tourism, Environment & Agritourism Director Varvara Kouneli, the local students of Folegandros learned:

• about the most important herbs
• created a pilot school herb garden

The students learned about Greek biodiversity, their cultivation, collection, processing and the resistance of herbs to dry heat conditions.

They understood the concept and environmental benefits of composting, both in reducing waste and improving soil and plant health.

They collaborated and created a pilot school herb garden, hosting and increasing the biodiversity of the school garden.
